Guide to TF2 Scout Achievements, Part 5

Hey knucklehead! Yeah you, tough guy! I heard you wanna be the baddest ****** around. Who told me? Oh, just some of the guys, it don't matter. Now, what I'm tellin' ya is that ya gotta get out there and just start killin'. Don't ya ever stop. At least not until everyone else is dead. Ya look like a pretty strong guy, though, so I don't think yer gonna have any problems at all. In fact, tell ya what: ya go out there and do some awesome movie-style ****, and I'll give ya some of these fancy new weapons I got right here. So get out there and unleash the fury. I'll even shout out some hints to ya. I've already done it, not once, not twice, not thrice, but four times, after all. Race for the Pennant Run 25 kilometers. It doesn't matter whether or not you are farming this achievement or doing it regularly. It is the same either way. In short, run a lot. Run way more than you have or ever will run. This achievement is the grind-happy achievement for the Scout, and it shows. Just play a lot of Scout and you will get the achievement eventually. It will take quite a while, but eventually is a better possibility than never!

Malcolm in the Middle actor races for Stargate Worlds . . . seriously

While Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment continues to work on their long-in-development MMO Stargate Worlds, the company has scored a major coup in having an entire racing team show their logo on their car and (as you can see in the picture) the transport trailer. Even odder, the racing team has former actor Frankie Muniz as one of the drivers. The star of the late Fox sitcom Malcolm in the Middle (still running endlessly in syndication) left the acting business to race cars full time about three years ago. For the 2009 season of the Cooper Tires Atlantic Championship Series, Muniz and his racing partner Simona De Silvestro will have the Stagate Worlds logo displayed and shown to the racing fans that attend the events. The note on the Stargate Worlds' web site says Cheyenne paid no up front money for the sponsorship which is good considering the company's recent financial issues.

Ubisoft pulls I Am Alive away from Darkworks

Darkworks, the French-based game developer who made the survival horror title Cold Fear for Ubisoft a few years ago, had been working on some time on the still mysterious disaster-action game I Am Alive. Now it appears that things are a-changin. While the game is still being made, Ubisoft has pulled Darkworks off the title. A post on the Darkworks web site has the complete Ubisoft statement without any other comment: Here is is in full: In order to respect the new launch date for this ambitious title, and Darkworks having other obligations, we have mutually decided to complete development of I Am Alive at Ubisoft Shanghai, as the two studios have collaborated on aspects of the title over the past year.

Now a long awaited downloadable expansion for Neverwinter Nights 2 looks like it will finally be released soon via publisher Atari. The expansion is titled Mysteries of Westgate and has been in development for literally years by small Vancouver based Ossian Studios. In fact it was originally supposed to be released in 2007.
